The death of a police motorcyclist in a collision in East Yorkshire was accidental, a coroner has ruled.
PC Russell Wylie, 28, was on patrol with a second police rider when he was involved in a crash with a car near Burstwick on 13 April.
Hull Coroner's Court heard PC Wylie braked on a corner, causing his motorcycle to drift into the opposite lane into the path of the car.
He died of head injuries in hospital the next day.
A woman who was driving the car sustained minor injuries.
The inquest heard there were no drugs or alcohol in PC Wylie's system, that the bike was well maintained and he was travelling within the speed limit at the time of the crash.

'Tragic accident'

Giving his ruling of accidental death , coroner Professor Paul Marks said: "Why he braked as he did will only be known to Russell."
Insp Mark Hughes, road policing office for Humberside Police, described the death as a "tragic accident."
"It's an absolute tragic set of circumstances", he said.
"As we've heard, we cannot really see the reason for it."
In a statement, his fiancée and parents said they were "devastated by his sudden death".
"We have received several hundred messages from people whose lives Russ has touched," they said.
"People he has helped following accidents and emergencies, friends and colleagues he loved and cared about and people whose lives have simply been brightened by his smile."
