BN- THE SOUND of roaring engines floated up to the skies in tribute to a legendary Darlington biker this weekend.
Chrome sparkled as highly polished machines took to the road in honour of Jungle, one of the town’s most colourful characters.
Saturday (September 26) saw hordes of bikers and others travel from Darlington to the remote Tan Hill Inn in Swaledale, one of Jungle’s favourite venues.
The event was one of a number to be organised in the charitable biker’s memory and was another opportunity for his loved ones to show their respect.
Formerly known as George Pamler, the ex-Hell’s Angel died in June after a lifetime of colourful endeavours.
Since then, thousands of pounds have been donated to the Jungle Fund, set up in his memory and operated by his daughter, Nichola Jinks Preston.
The fund reflects Jungle’s own charitable nature and works to donate cash to help good causes across the region.
This weekend’s event saw the bikers descend upon the inn to enjoy live music, camping and the chance to win a 7ft handmade Harley wooden piece, crafted by Jungle.
