At about 2:50 a.m., deputies were called to a fight that broke out in the 100 block of Sierra Vista Drive in La Cresta.
According to Lt. John Maryon, the fight involved several men and various weapons, including knives, baseball bats, pool cues and rocks.
The victim, who witnesses say is a 26-year-old father of four, was stabbed during the fight and was transported to a hospital where he later died.
Other men suffered non-life threatening injuries, Maryon said.
Deputies believe an argument started the fight.
Christina Thomas lives around the corner from the motorcycle club. She said her husband woke up to the sounds of screaming in front of their home.
"He said he saw some people fighting and they were running down the street, and it didn’t sound good. so he asked me to gather up our children and go to a safe place, so that’s what we did. We were very scared,” she added.
Thomas took her children to a bathroom and locked the door. "And we just prayed," she said.
Several neighbors who did not want to be identified told 10 News the crowd at the biker club has been getting loud and unruly in recent months. They complained of motorcyclists speeding through neighborhood streets.
Dan Sapp said his son is a member of the club, but wasn't there when the fight broke out. His daughter was inside, and was one of a handful of witnesses Sheriff's deputies questioned Saturday.
Sapp said he had no idea what started the fight.
The department's homicide detail was called to investigate. They spent more than 15 hours collecting evidence that was strewn down two streets, stretching for about a half mile.
