A 20-year-old woman "doomed herself to a year of physical abuse" when she started a relationship with a member of a bikie gang six years ago, WA's District Court has been told.
BIKER NEWS -- Tristan Roger Allbeury is on trial accused of repeatedly physically assaulting Nikitta Goddard, whom he met at the Finks clubhouse when he was a member of the gang in the latter half of 2009.
The charges relate to four separate alleged incidents in which he punched Ms Goddard, slapped her across the face, stabbed her in the thigh with scissors and hit her with a broken coffee mug.
Her injuries included black eyes, a perforated ear drum, lacerations to her thigh and left shoulder and a cut to the bone on her hand.
Allbeury is also alleged to have pointed a silver handgun at Ms Goddard as she drove past him on her way to get drugs.
Prosecutor Adam Hills-Wright said while Allbeury was charged over those incidents, the State would be alleging other violence towards Ms Goddard, including her being punched in the stomach when she was heavily pregnant with Allbeury's son.
"If you accept Ms Goddard's evidence about those other assaults, you might use that to help determine wether the charged acts did occur as she described," Mr Hills-Wright told the jury.
"It may support her allegations."

Mr Hills-Wright said while Ms Goddard had her own "issues", "in no way did she deserve, or in no way was she responsible for, the physical assaults perpetrated by the accused on a frequent basis".
He said recorded calls from prison, made by Allbeury to Ms Goddard, would be played to the court and would help the jury understand the relationship between the two.
"To understand his attempts to maintain control over her by threats of physical violence and domineering behaviour," he said.
Allbeury denied the allegations, with his lawyer Michael Perella saying Ms Goddard wanted revenge and was a "chronic drug addict" who would beg and lie to get money or drugs.
"Lying comes very easily to her and embellishing evidence is a tool she uses," he said.
Mr Perella told the jury the prison calls were made at a time when the relationship between his client and Ms Goddard was very different from the relationship at the time of the alleged assaults.
He said at that later time, Allbeury was "crazy" because his eight-and-a-half month old son was mauled by a dog after Ms Goddard had taken drugs and left him unattended.
"He loved his son, he meant the world to him," he said.
"He was desperate to know how how his son was being cared for and the calls started after that."
Mr Perella said his client had earlier this year pleaded guilty to nine charges of making threats to Ms Goddard and had already been dealt with by the courts.
